Stretch marks are also known as striae in medical terminology and appear mainly in the subcutis. They are caused by strong stretching of the tissue, such as through pregnancy or also strong overweight. Because the blood vessels often show through, they have a reddish colour that differs from the rest of the skin and is often considered unattractive. The appearance of stretch marks mainly affects the abdomen but also the hips and thighs as well as the buttocks and the upper arms and breasts. Particularly in older people, this phenomenon can occur again and again, which is mainly related to the weakening connective tissue. In some cases, stretch marks also occur as a consequence of diseases such as obesity or Cushing’s syndrome.
There are different answers to the question of how stretch marks can be removed in Berlin. This is equipped with hundreds of wafer-thin needles that penetrate just 2.5 millimetres deep into the skin. The result is thousands of minimal injuries that stimulate the production of both natural collagen and elastin. This works through the targeted irritation of the upper layer of the skin (epidermis). In this context, new hyaluronic acid is also formed and provides a firmer skin appearance. However, this is usually only visible after a few weeks.
